Amy's 30th Birthday Weekend

Apologies for the lack of updates but this was due in part to Jared dropping the camera in the sea! At least it gave him an idea of what to buy me for my 30th.

Thanks Amy, well for my beloved's 30th birthday we decided to visit Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road, these are a few of our memories....

Just about to leave Adelaide in our hire car for amy's birthday weekend!

Only 7 more hours on the road...

Warrnambool beach at sunset

Jared, 2 minute's later and he's in the sea...

Butterfly Farm, an Australian Bed & Breakfast...

a typical Australian house in the Victorian countryside...

Interior, our own private lounge...

and a comfy four poster bed...

Amy standing at the entrance to our room...

and standing in the gardens, sadly it was time to leave and hit the road, the Great Ocean Road!

The bay of Islands...

Rocks formed by the natural erosion of the coastline...

An ant, the size of my thumb, sadly it couldn't take my body weight.

As part of the erosion fantastic scenery starts to appear such as the Grotto...

and London Bridge, which used to be connected to the mainland but, like the original, it fell down!

Saying cheese in front of London Bridge

A panoramic of London Bridge taken using Amy's birthday present.

The arch, another spectacular sight.

Watch our skippy Amy's driving!

The world famous 12 apostles, although there are only 5 left!

Kodak moment...

Another panoramic of the apostles...

and another kodak moment...

and another panoramic...

and another (I think you get it)

We stopped off along the way and stumbled across this beautiful waterfall.

There were also plenty of other things enjoying the waterfall.

You can see why...

I was so tempted to push her...

Wind swept tree's in Torquay, Victoria!  No sign of amusement parks, stag/hen do's, Basil Fawlty and anyone throwing up which was nice

Sunset over Bells beach, a surfing mecca.

Wild Koala's, just hanging around.

Amy loves Koala's

In fact right now she's trying to climb the tree and grab it!

Run Koala RUN!

Or just show me your arse!

The Great Ocean road, it was pretty much like this for 250km

Jared going walkabout.

The city of Melbourne and it's famous trams.

The Yarra river and the Eureka tower (Oh and the STA building!)

So for Amy's birthday I asked her, what would you like to do? Her reply is pretty obvious from this picture.

Getting excited watching old episodes of Neighbours in the tour bus.

The Neighbours Studio exterior sets, something to eat?

Welcome to Lasseters

Get'out my pub!

The new jetty set.

Just waiting for Paul Robison's body to land on the floor.

Had to take a panorama of this of course.

Pretty

Jared having a drink at Grease Monkey's

Amy just found out Dr. Karl was not a real doctor.

Waiting for a bus from Erinsborough

It's late.

Oh well, "Dial-A-Kyle" is across the road.

As is Lucas' garage.

I would like to point out that I (Jared) have no idea about any of these places, the last time I watched Neighbours Bouncer was having weird dreams!

Ramsey Street, Paul Robinson's house, remember the twins?

Harold and Madge's, this is where Kylie lived!

Jim Robinson's / The Scully's

Jared and Amy waiting for Harold.

Paul's house again...

Photo opportunity

She's getting good at this...

but not as good as Jared

The Facebook picture.

and of course the panoramic, Ramsey Street ahhhh!

And we got to meet the cast, Amy with Chris (Who?)

Jared with Steph Scully - She was a little odd

And of course, who else but Dr. Karl Kennedy...

who sang happy birthday to Amy, you'd think you couldn't possibly eclipse that

you were wrong, it's Mr. Stefan "Paul Robinson" Dennis

Belting out such classic australian tunes such as "I would walk 10,000 miles..."

A very happy girl...

But don't give up the day job Stefan!
